The best way to complete a proper bookbinding is to make sure that the bookbinding is done properly with plastic coil hand crimpers.
If you don’t use plastic coil hand crimpers then you might as well just go and tear the pages of your volume out now because there is no point to even binding a book correctly if you are not going to do it correctly.
Surely there is a better bookbinding method than plastic coil hand crimpers out there? No, sadly there is not, but fear not, NASA is working on new material that might replace the plastic coil hand crimpers in the industry virtually overnight. If this is true then we will be in a bookbinding mecca for a period of time and we will all embrace our new bookbinding gods of materials and best stuff.
If there were ever the right things to do with the bookbinding trade then the right thing to do is probably to go and get plastic coil hand crimpers while we still can because once we stop using the plastic coil hand crimpers and use the new NASA bookbinding materials then people will stop producing the plastic coil hand crimpers and their prices will go through the roof.
If the prices go through the roof then anyone who wants traditional bookbinding done instead of new-age NASA binding done will need to find an old school bookbinding store and ask for expensive plastic coil hand crimpers.
