Some dogs are very difficult to treat when they have some illness or ailment. These dogs resist being medicated and given treatment and will be a lot to handle if you aren’t prepared.
Some dogs have even bit their owners just to resist being given medicine. If you have this kind of dog, then you should know how to give them parvo treatment in a safe manner. It’s not even a question of medication is necessary because the canine parvo virus is a very dangerous thing that could be had by any dog. You need to treat your dog in order for it to live. Only nine percent of dogs who have this virus will walk away alive if left untreated. Those odds aren’t a very good thing for you and your dog and you wouldn’t want to risk not treating your dog just to keep away from being bitten, trust me. Even if your dog is a bit restless and has the potential to bite, it still deserves to be given proper attention and medication.
If you observe parvo symptoms in puppies, you are a lot luckier than the ones that already have big dogs. This is because the puppies will less likely to be aggressive and they won’t bite like bigger dogs possibly can. You’re especially unlucky if you have the likes of pitbulls or rotweillers because these dogs are very aggresive. What you need to do as an owner when you are giving medication is to calm down the environment so that the dogs will feel very safe and securing having you around. Dogs are known to be empathetic dogs and that they can feel what their owners are feeling. When you are calm, they will be more likely to remain calm as well.
Take this piece of advice to heart and your parvo treatment will go very smoothly.
