For the sports minded, there are various activities that fuse sports and history. One of the most popular is the Royal Rooters Run, a Boston Red Sox tradition that started in the 1900s. This part-run part historical tour is done on Saturdays near the historic Braves Field. The run passes through 5 km of course that traverses the most important baseball fields in the city.
