I love surprising people. Whenever I can, I just love pulling surprises, and at times, I even love to shock some of them.
I don’t know why I am like that, perhaps it is just the prankster in me, and then again the part of me that loves and favors the unconventional often rears its head. Many of those who know have been critical of that side of me in the past, although in recent years, I noticed that they have become much more tolerant of that side of my personality. It is probably connected to the most successful and probably most unconventional surprise I pulled off. I am talking about the business that I have relied on these last few years to feed my family. It is the business of raising worms for profit.
When I first encountered raising worms for profit, I must admit that I was a bit shocked myself. Little did I know that there was an industry based on those night crawlers, and that people who were raising them were making quite a tidy profit. When I got to learn all the industries that were using worms, my initial shock gave way to being really impressed. That was when I thought that it would be a great thing to enter that very same business, and make money off of it myself. From then on, I decided to learn everything I can about those night crawlers, so that I can benefit from raising them.
After I initially broached the subject with my wife and family, their initial reaction was predictably one of shock. As I predicted, they thought it was just one of those things that I always liked to do to them. Indeed, raising nightcrawlers for profit is indeed a very good business. And so now, my family and every one who knows me are all equally impressed at the way the business is turning out and making money.
